The Belgian vtbKultuur organisation, with more than 130,000 active members, has shown interest in Brabant Remembers and the theme 75 years of liberation. This year and previous years have been a great success for this active association because of the commemorations that have taken place in the context of 100 years ‘Flanders Fields 1914-1918’, in which the wartime events from the First World War were remembered. vtbKultuur is interested in our 75 Personal Life Changing War Stories and wants to compile a number of themed day packages for their members. Within this framework their president Diane Geert visited a number of Brabant WW2 locations. In addition to the Wings of Liberation Museum in Best and the Camp Vught National Monument, a visit was also made to the Biesbosch MuseumEiland. The aim is to organise a site inspection for regional presidents so they will be able to promote the programme of day visits in their own regions. Each regional president organises between 5 and 8 (multi-day) tours for their members every year.
