TUI, the largest travel organisation in the Netherlands, is interested in offering a number of WW2 programmes in its travel portfolio in 2019 and 2020. In addition to the most important WW2 locations in Brabant and Gelderland they will also include the Ardennes and Normandy in their programme. In order to get a good impression of the Brabant locations and stories, product manager Tamara Diekman visited a number of the locations in Brabant in the middle of September. These included the Overloon War Museum, the German war cemetery in Ysselsteyn, the ‘Hells Highway’ towards Eindhoven, the Wings of Liberation Museum in Best, the Paulushoef farmhouse, the Eerdse Molen windmill and finally Camp Vught National Monument. The visit was accompanied by the guide and WW2 historian Edwin Popken.
