February - On Friday 12 February His Majesty King Willem-Alexander opened the exhibition ‘Jheronimus Bosch-Visions of a genius’ with a symbolic act on the square in front of the Noordbrabants Museum.
The King’s visit began with a festive ceremony in St John’s Cathedral. From there His Majesty walked along the Parade to the Noordbrabants Museum accompanied by a procession of hooded Bosch characters. Dutch television broadcasters NOS and Omroep Brabant both gave live coverage of the opening ceremony. International and national media had nothing but praise for the exhibition and the spectacle in the city. Many German tour operators and cultural associations showed interest.
The exhibition can be seen from 13 February till 8 May 2016 and forms part of the Jheronimus Bosch 500 celebrations. ‘s-Hertogenbosch: a must-do in 2016! For more information, tickets and time slots, see tickets.hnbm.nl.
