Brabant is buzzing and bubbling in 2018, the year that Noord-Brabant is the European Region of Gastronomy. We’re proud of that and we’re going to celebrate with an innovative programme throughout Brabant, exciting food concepts and mouth-watering events at unusual locations. Not forgetting unmistakable Brabant hospitality! Brabant Celebrates Food. Celebrate with us!

Noord Brabant enjoys a rich gastronomical tradition and Brabant hospitality is a well-known concept.  But what do typical dishes from Van Gogh’s homeland taste like? What happens when Dutch design creates the dish of the future? Which top-class restaurants (Brabant has no fewer than 15 Michelin stars!) tempt your taste buds the most? And is Brabant hospitality sweet or savoury? With its Brabant Celebrates Food campaign, Brabant invites residents and visitors to go on a voyage to discover a delicious heritage, unforgettable eating experiences and Brabant friendliness.

As a special event this year, a highly varied programme has been developed that starts in February with GAST (the Dutch word for ‘Guest’), the pop-up kitchen of the Noord Brabant culinary world. A number of Brabant Michelin chefs will go into battle with current food themes and Brabant icons. During BrabantNacht in June 2018, Brabant will introduce an additional and unique food experience in honour of this special year. Just one more reason to become acquainted with our beautiful province.
